People counting

See when and where visitors arrive.

Measure visits at entrances and the use of monitored indoor spaces such as exhibit halls and education rooms. Compare patterns across days and seasons.

Staff for the busiest hours

Use traffic patterns to inform admissions and exhibit coverage across the day.

Know when a space fills up

Set a capacity threshold for an exhibit hall or room, and notify your team on the dashboard, by push or by email.

Plan seasonal hours with evidence

Compare visit patterns across seasons before changing opening hours or event times.

Anonymous counting. No recorded video or stored images. Adult/child estimates with supported sensors; filters turnarounds and repeated movement at the counting line.

Exclude staff from visitor counts.

Keep staff movements out of visitor totals with Bluetooth fobs or specialty lanyards in black-and-white or red-and-white stripes.

Count the people who pass by.

Measure how many people walk past your establishment without stopping. Compare passing traffic with the visits inside.

Available with compatible sensors and coverage suited to your space.

Work Items

From daily exhibit checks to the repair nobody planned.

Give every job an owner, useful context and a next step. Turn opening checks into recurring work with a checklist, and give new problems a place to go.

Report from a phone or desktop, attach a photo and set a priority and due date. When enabled, public reporting and printable QR codes let visitors flag an issue, too.

Can we use the software without people counters?

Yes. Staff Scheduling and Work Items can be purchased without counting hardware. Staff Scheduling and Work Items are included with people counting at no additional fee. The standalone software pilot is free for the first year. Then $120/year. One flat rate for your whole organization, locked in for pilot partners. Join the pilot waiting list or book a demo to discuss your zoo or aquarium.

Does a visit count mean unique visitors?

No. Visits measure arrivals, not distinct people. FacilitySight filters turnarounds and repeated movement at the counting line, but a visitor who leaves and returns later can count again. Staff exclusion settings, multiple entrances and counting boundaries also affect how you interpret the total.

How do we choose sensors for our entrances and rooms?

We review entrance width, ceiling height, mounting, power, network connections and the measurements you need. Counts depend on the sensor, installation and traffic conditions; adult/child estimates need supported sensors. Share your layout or existing sensor model so we can confirm fit and plan validation, including groups and busy periods.

What goes into a people-counting quote?

Hardware is purchased upfront with FacilitySight software; software is billed annually per sensor or bundle. Multiple sensors serving an entrance or virtual wall are bundled together. Guided self-install support is included at no charge. On-site work by a local licensed contractor is a separate cost. Staff Scheduling and Work Items are included at no additional fee.
