Work Items

From recurring checks to the repair nobody planned.

Give every job an owner, useful context and a next step. Keep routine checks moving, and give new problems a place to go.

Report from a phone or desktop, attach a photo and set a priority and due date. When enabled, public reporting and printable QR codes let visitors flag an issue, too.

Plan the right fit for your library.

Can we use the software without people counters?

Yes. Staff Scheduling and Work Items can be purchased without counting hardware. Staff Scheduling and Work Items are included with people counting at no additional fee. The standalone software pilot is free for the first year. Then $120/year. One flat rate for your whole organization, locked in for pilot partners. Join the pilot waiting list or book a demo to discuss your library.

Does a library door count mean unique patrons?

No. Visits measure arrivals, not distinct people. FacilitySight filters turnarounds and repeated movement at the counting line, but a patron who leaves and returns later can count again. Staff exclusion settings, multiple entrances and counting boundaries also affect how you interpret the total.

How do we choose sensors for our entrances and rooms?

We review entrance width, ceiling height, mounting, power, network connections and the measurements you need. Counts depend on the sensor, installation and traffic conditions; adult/child estimates need supported sensors. Share your layout or existing sensor model so we can confirm fit and plan validation, including groups and busy periods.

What goes into a people-counting quote?

Hardware is purchased upfront with FacilitySight software; software is billed annually per sensor or bundle. Multiple sensors serving an entrance or virtual wall are bundled together. Guided self-install support is included at no charge. On-site work by a local licensed contractor is a separate cost. Staff Scheduling and Work Items are included at no additional fee.

Can we compare branches and report to our board?

Yes. Compare visit patterns, monitored-space use and program participation, then add your context to reports for boards and community discussions. Use consistent periods and measurement definitions across branches. FacilitySight does not automatically complete a particular state or agency’s annual return.
