# Sensors & installation

Compare people counters and plan the hardware your spaces need.

Sensors are supplied with FacilitySight software; hardware is not sold separately. Hardware is purchased upfront. Model choice depends on mounting height, doorway width, the area being measured, power, networking and indoor or outdoor placement.

People counters are installed overhead. Connection options across the wider range include PoE, Wi-Fi and LoRaWAN; these are model-specific. A Wi-Fi configuration interface does not necessarily provide a wireless data connection.

Environmental options include CO₂, PM2.5, VOCs, temperature, humidity, sound, odor, leaks, door contacts, vape detection, fill levels and service buttons. Each measurement requires a suitable sensor. Outdoor models are selected separately.

The comparison below covers selected indoor stereo-vision models in our catalogue. Mounting ranges are manufacturer specifications for counting, not guaranteed coverage or support for every optional analytic. All five are IP40 indoor models; outdoor variants are different models.

At 1.95–2.10 m, the Xovis PC2SE-UL is limited to counting with a maximum 1 m width. Consult the manufacturer coverage guide for the full installation geometry.

Milesight VS125-P and VS125-LW-P Wi-Fi is for configuration, not wireless data transmission. Xovis PC2RE Wi-Fi depends on the supplied hardware, firmware and deployment; confirm that connection before specifying it. PoE power is still required for the Xovis models.

Share ceiling height, entrance width, mounting conditions, power and network availability, and any entrance photos when requesting a quote. Coverage and the number of devices must be checked for the actual space.
