# Sensors & installation Explore FacilitySight sensors, compatible brands and installation requirements. Reviewed: 2026-10-12 Source: https://facilitysight.io/product-reference#sensors Sensors are supplied with FacilitySight software; hardware is not sold separately. Hardware is purchased upfront. Model choice depends on mounting height, doorway width, the area being measured, power, networking and indoor or outdoor placement. People counters are installed overhead. Connection options across the wider range include PoE, Wi-Fi and LoRaWAN; these are model-specific. A Wi-Fi configuration interface does not necessarily provide a wireless data connection. Environmental options include CO₂, PM2.5, VOCs, temperature, humidity, sound, odor, leaks, door contacts, vape detection, fill levels and service buttons. Each measurement requires a suitable sensor. Outdoor models are selected separately. Share ceiling height, entrance width, mounting conditions, power and network availability, and any entrance photos when requesting a quote. Coverage and the number of devices must be checked for the actual space. ## Buyer questions ### Which sensor should I use for my space? The range includes FacilitySight Standard and Wide Angle for entrance counting, High Install for high ceilings, Room Occupancy for rooms and defined areas, and TOF for entrances and passageways. The right option depends on the measurement, ceiling height, entrance or room geometry, power and network. Coverage and model-specific connections should be confirmed for the actual installation. FacilitySight works with sensors from Milesight, Xovis, Brickstream and Hella. Share the manufacturer, model, firmware and connection details so compatibility and available measurements can be confirmed. Brand support does not guarantee support for every model or optional feature. We help select the right option for the space and the measurement you need. Mounting ranges are installation specifications, not guaranteed coverage. FacilitySight Standard and FacilitySight Wide Angle are indoor models with Ethernet data and 802.3af PoE or 12 V / 1 A DC power. Their Wi-Fi is for configuration, not wireless data transmission. Confirm power and connectivity for the selected High Install, Room Occupancy or TOF configuration. ### FacilitySight sensors supplied with our software | Sensor | Use | Installation guidance | | --- | --- | --- | | FacilitySight Standard | Stereo-vision people counting at entrances. | Indoor overhead mounting at 2.2–6.0 m. | | FacilitySight Wide Angle | Stereo-vision people counting with a wider field of view for lower mounting heights. | Indoor overhead mounting at 1.9–3.5 m; entrance coverage must be checked. | | FacilitySight High Install | Stereo-vision people counting in spaces with high ceilings. | Overhead mounting at 6–15 m; confirm coverage for the space. | | FacilitySight Room Occupancy | Measure occupancy in rooms and defined areas to understand space use. | Mounting height, room layout and the selected configuration determine coverage. | | FacilitySight TOF | Time-of-flight people counting at entrances and passageways. | Overhead installation; mounting range and connection depend on the selected configuration. | ## Sensors that work with FacilitySight FacilitySight works with sensors from Milesight, Xovis, Brickstream and Hella. If you already have sensors, share the manufacturer, model and connection details so we can confirm the setup and measurements available for your installation. Compatibility depends on the model, firmware, available data and network configuration. Support for a brand does not mean every model or optional feature is supported. The selected Xovis models below are IP40 indoor stereo-vision people counters. Outdoor variants are different models. At 1.95–2.10 m, the Xovis PC2SE-UL is limited to counting with a maximum 1 m width. Consult the manufacturer coverage guide for the full installation geometry. Xovis PC2RE Wi-Fi depends on the supplied hardware, firmware and deployment; confirm that connection before specifying it.
